EXHIBITIONS
… Ovidiu Avram's painting is a construction of forms and colors, where the portal of infinite combinations is open, the creation itself transforming into a compact structure, marked by equilibrium and spirituality. The human body often becomes a symbiotic element with the inorganic world, the arch of a building or a fantastic creature, they are all placed on an equal footing, offering an image of a realm which seems to be contrived on the principle that time and space commingle, creating a spiritual singularity… In Ovidiu Avram's universe, Idola Theatri grows into a concept that extends beyond the limits of Novum Organum, becoming a visual sphere represented by overlapping and constructions frequently catalogued as illogical, but harmonious.
Dr. Iakob Attila. Curator at The Museum of Art, Bánffy Palace. Cluj-Napoca, Romania.
